Santa Shoe Prints

Santa Shoeprints

A tradition B-Crafty began in 1988 was to put out these Santa Footprints on Christmas eve so that her boys would wake up and see that indeed Santa did arrive. Make some footprints for yourself and begin the tradition at your house.

Issue #2

Occasion: Christmas

Category: Kid’s Delight

Materials Needed:

Black Construction Paper

Instructions:

Use a hard sole shoe and trace the outline on a piece of black construction paper. (May have to use a piece of chalk to be able to see the outline.) Cut the shoe print out and repeat 20 times or so.* On Christmas Eve place the footprints leading from your fireplace (or front door if no fireplace) to the Christmas tree. The kids will see Santa’s shoe prints and know whether they’ve been naughty or nice.

*The number of shoe prints needed will depend on how far the fireplace/door is to the tree.

B-Crafty Tip: Save the shoe prints year to year. Put them in a safe place, like a sock drawer to reuse each Christmas.
