“I scream, you scream”, We all scream for B-Crafty”! She did not disappoint with her Ice Cream Cone Posts. Stay cool!
Issue #30
Occasion: Summertime
Category: Outdoor Decoration
Materials Needed:
2 – wooden boards that measure 5 ½ inches wide x 60 inches tall x ¾ inch thick.
Acrylic paints in various colors including; brown, tan, white, peach/pink, and pale green.
Instructions:
With a jigsaw, cut the bottom of the board in a “V” shape so it can be pushed into the ground. To make the ice cream scoops, cut the top in a curve and then cut notches approximately 4 ½ inches apart along both sides. At the base of the last scoop, use the jigsaw to cut the wood off of each side to make the triangular cone.
Paint both boards with white paint on both sides. Paint the cone in brown with tan accents. Paint the ice cream scoops in your favorite “flavors”. B-Crafty chose vanilla (white) chocolate (tan) strawberry (pink) and mint chip (pale green with brown accents) face as shown or design your own.
Once completed, place in the ground to display anytime during the summer, especially on hot days.
