Issue #32

Occasion: Christmas

Category: Ornament

Materials Needed:

  • Night light size white bulb (4W)
  • Various acrylic paint colors: red, pink, flesh tone and black

  • Small red pompom

XMas 1

Instructions:

Paint the base of the light bulb with the red paint. Then paint Santa’s face with the flesh, pink, red and black paint. When that all dries, apply the Snow Tex paint all around where the base meets the bulb. Then add the Snow Tex paint for the Santa’s mustache. The Snow Tex paint will take awhile to set and harden. When it is set, hot glue the middle of the ribbon at the bottom of the light bulb base. Once it is secured, tie the two ends of the red ribbon together with a square knot. Then place a dab of the Snow Tex paint over the hot-glued spot. Final touch is to glue the small red pompom on for Santa’s nose.

B-Crafty Tip: B-Crafty uses wooden shish kabob stick to apply the snow tex paint.

B-Crafty Tip: Use an empty egg carton to stand the ornaments in so that they can dry.
