Marching Band Favors

IMG_6143

This week’s craft was inspired by B-Crafty’s nextdoor neighbor’s talented son who was the Notre Dame University marching band head drum major. B-Crafty replicated his hat for this Marching Band favor. You can customize it to match the hats of your favorite marching band.

Issue #38

Occasion: Fall Football Game Tailgates or Pre Game Dinners

Category: Table Favor

Materials Needed:

  • Empty paper towel roll (cut into 3 ¾ inch segments)
  • Piece of Sherpa (7 inches long X 4 inches wide and a circular piece 2 inches in diameter)
  • Feathers or other trims
  • Gold sequin

Instructions:

  • Take a section the paper towel roll and wrap it in with the piece of the white Sherpa and glue it in place.
  • Then attach the circular piece of Sherpa to one of the open ends with glue. Trim off any excess.
  • With hot glue add the feathers on the side and the feather tip and a sequin on the front.
  • Attached the foam core brim to the bottom of the hat.

B-Crafty Tip: These favors can be made to look like your high school or college marching band hats. B-Crafty loves to watch football games and she always sticks around for the halftime show to show her support.
