Customizing Birthday Cards

IMG_7177

Inspired by a card B-Crafty created for her son’s September birthday, this week’s post offers a way to customize store bought cards with family photos. Spoiler alert: This creation is for B-Crafty’s other son’s November birthday. Shhhhh!

Issue #40

Occasion: Birthday

Category: Cards

Materials Needed:

  • Store bought card with photographs
  • Old family photos
  • Piece of cardboard cut in shape of photo shapes on the store bought card
  • Scotch tape or glue

Instructions:

  • Using the cardboard template, cut out the portion(s) of the family photo(s) to be use on the store bought card
  • After cutting it out, place the date of the photo on the back (optional)
  • With scotch tape or glue affix the photos over place of the stock photos on the store bought card
  • Sign and address the card then wait for the birthday person’s reaction

B-Crafty Tip: This is a timely craft as B-Crafty prepared this for her one son’s birthday this week and then —SPOILER ALERT— she prepared this B-Crafty post for her other son’s birthday in November. It was too good not to do twice.
