Tooth Fairy Pillow

IMG_8054Make it easy for the Tooth Fairy to find your child’s lost tooth when she visits with a Tooth Fairy Pillow. Your child won’t get as upset about losing a tooth if they get to place their tooth in this pillow. Add your child’s name to make it extra special.

Materials Needed:

  • 3 pieces of white felt, 2 pieces measuring 9” x 6” and 1 measuring 2 ½” x 2”
  • Embroidery thread (any color)
  • Pillow Batting or cotton balls (12-20 cotton balls)

Instructions:

  • Cut our a tooth shape on each piece of the 9” x 6” felt.
  • With the thread, stitch the two pieces together around the edges leaving a 1” opening on the top of the tooth.
  • Stuff the tooth with the batting or cotton balls and then stitch up the opening with the embroidery thread.
  • Cut the small tooth pocket out of the 2 ½” x 2” piece.
  • With the thread stitch the child’s first name or initials on the pocket piece.
  • With hot glue or tacky glue, affix the side and bottom edges of the pocket to the front of the tooth leaving the top open.
  • Place the lost tooth in the pocket right before bedtime and leave it out for the Tooth Fairy’s visit.
  • The Tooth Fairy will take the tooth and replace it with whatever reward she usually leaves; coins, bills, tickets or other treats. 

B-Crafty Tip: B-Crafty uses silver glitter lip gloss to put a small dab on the window sill or dresser of the child who lost their tooth as though the Tooth Fairy landed in those spots where glitter appears. It’s very subtle which makes it all the more believable.
