Red, White, and Do this craft! With the Fourth of July coming up, B-Crafty shares an “EGG-cellent” new way to fly the flag.
Issue #83
Occasion: Fourth of July
Category: Decoration
Materials Needed:
- Empty 18 egg carton
- Acrylic paints; red, white and blue
Instructions:
- Make sure the side of the carton that opens is at the bottom of the flag
- Paint the white areas first, excluding the dots on the field of blue
- Paint the red areas next
- Paint the upper left blue section
- With the white paint add either dots (as shown) or paint in stars.
B-Crafty Tip: B-Crafty started buying the 18 egg cartons in March as she was trying to lengthen her time between trips to the food store, so she was all prepared to give this red, white and blue craft a go. Who knew new shopping patterns during the Stay-at-Home order would open up a new crafting idea.
B-Crafty Tip: If you open the painted egg carton and stand it up like a picture, the flag can be displayed perfectly on a shelf or center of a table.
