What better way for students to leave their mark at their elementary school than to have their hand or thumb print on a Leave Behind Art Mural. B-Crafty orchestrated this leave behind mural effort in May 2001 to commemorate Arts Express Week-Circus theme! It’s still at the school today on a wall over a water fountain.

Category: Wall Mural
Materials Needed:
- Artwork to replicate on the mural
- Acrylic paint in various colors
Instructions:
- Pick a picture to paint on a wall at the school that lends itself for the students to make hand/thumb prints on the artwork
- Prior to the students adding their prints, paint the rest of the art work on the designated wall
- With other helpers, paint each child’s hand or edge of their fisted hand and press on the mural
B-Crafty Tip: Choose a wall at the school that does not get too much direct sunlight and that the art is high enough that it won’t we touched as students pass by in the halls.
