Ice Cream Cone Cornucopia

B-Crafty has a great edible art project for Thanksgiving time, “Nutter Butter Acorns”. So easy to make and so good to eat!

Issue #103

Occasion: Thanksgiving

Category: Table Favors

Materials:

  • Sugar ice cream cone
  • Small glass filled with about 2 inches of water
  • Red, orange, yellow and brown M&M’s
  • Piece of clear cellophane 4 X 4 inches square
  • Rubber band
  • Fall colored ribbon 8-20 inches long

Instructions:

  • Spoon 2 teaspoons of water into the inside of the cone. Then with the pointed end down, stand the cone in the glass of water for 10 seconds.
  • Pour out the water from the inside of the cone and place the cone in a microwave oven for 10-20 second
  • Remove the cone. The bottom of it will now be soft enough that it can be bent. With the seam side of the cone facing down, bend the pointed end up and let it dry completely
  • When the cone is dry and set, fill it with M&M’s or other fall candies
  • Place the cellophane over the end to hold the candy inside, and secure it with a rubber band
  • Tie the ribbon over the rubber band and knot it at the top

B-Crafty Tip: B-Crafty has used fall colored jelly beans or candy corn in these ice cream cone cornucopias.
