Teacher Appreciation Counter Stool

Introduction:  Our teachers are working harder than ever. B-Crafty offers the “Teacher Appreciation Stool” as the perfect way to thank them. It is a personalized leave behind art project that will forever remind them of this year and their students.

Occasion: Teacher Appreciation

Category: Gift

Materials:

  • Unpainted counter
  • White primer paint
  • White paint (I used acrylic)
  • Acrylic paints (yellow/gold, silver, eraser pink, tan)
  • Sharpies fine point in and blue.
  • Sharpies regular point in red, blue and black

Instructions:

  • Paint the unfinished stool with the white primer paint
  • With the yellow/gold, silver, pink and tan colored acrylic paints paint all four legs to resemble a No.2 pencil (Optional:  Add with a black Sharpie the names of four events or areas of study the class did; i.e. “Circus Week”, “Interplanetary Jammin’”
  • Paint a coat of white acrylic paint on the top of the stool
  • With the fine point Sharpies, line the top of the stool to look like a page of notebook paper, blue and red markings. Also add the three black dots to look like the notebook page holes
  • Have each student write their name on the top of the stool (If gathering the students is not possible, you can ask them to write their name on a piece of paper and you can trace it onto the stool)
  • Add a date and a message of thanks to the teacher with an A+ grade
