Every year looks B-Crafty looks forward to displaying her “Halloween Cookie Cutter Cross Stitch” decoration. B-Crafty made these of over 30 years ago, so the hard part may be finding the aluminum cookie cutters. Hope you find this “trick” to be a real “treat”.

Issue #198
Occasion: Halloween
Category: Decoration
Materials:
- Thin metal or aluminum cookie cutters in the shape of a house and a ghost
- Gray and white cross stitch canvases (gray piece approximately 6” X 8” and white piece approximately 4” X 4”)
- Piece of cardboard (for the back of each cross stitch canvas)
- Embroidery thread (colors: black, orange, white, dark gray, brown, yellow, cranberry, green, and red)

Instructions:
- Lightly trace the outline of the cookie cutter on to the right side of the cross stitch canvas
- Embroider the haunted house and ghost (see close up pictures)
- Affix the back of the completed cross stitch to the cardboard
- Cut out the canvas slightly larger than the lightly drawn outline from the first step
- Slide the cut out into the cookie cutter/ Trim if needed

B-Crafty Tip: Make sure you use cookie cutters that have a relatively flat base as then your finished craft will stand up by itself and the cookie cutter will act as the perfect frame.
