Tootsie Pop Love Bug

B-Crafty offers this new, cute and easy Valentine’s Day craft, “Tootsie Pop Love Bug”. Great for a kid class valentine or just anyone for Heart Day.

Materials:

• Valentine’s  Tootsie Roll Pops (or any pink or red wrapper one)
• 2 goggle eyes (10 mm)
• 1/3 of a red pipe cleaner
• Piece of red and bright pink card stock paper
• 2” and 1 ½ “ heart shaped punches
• Hot glue

Instructions:

• Punch out two 2” hearts from the red paper
• Punch out two 1 ½” hearts from the bright pink paper
• Glue the smaller hearts on to the middle of the two larger hearts
• Then glue the two larger hearts together at tip the their bottom points
• Bend the pipe cleaner in half and them wrap the two ends of the pipe cleaner around a thin paint brush handle to make a curly cues at the ends (like antenea)
• Lay the lollipop on it’s side and then with the hot glue, glue the two goggle eyes on the front of the lollipop as though it is looking at you
• With the lollipop still on it’s side, with the hot glue place a dap on the top of the lollipop and affix the middle of the bent pipe cleaner
• Place another dab of hot glue on the lollipop stick right where the wrapper meets the stick and affix the middle of the glued together large red hearts
• You are ready to “fly” and give your Tootsie Roll Love Bug”

B-Crafty Tip: When laying the lollipop on it side, pick the side where the lollipop lays the flattest.
