If you know B-Crafty, you know she loves Halloween which means she loves sharing this new Halloween craft, Candy Hugging Bat. Other than some precutting of the bats, it is an easy craft. It’s always a” trick and a treat” to craft!

Issue #218
Occasion: Halloween
Category: Treat or Table Favor

Materials:
- Black construction paper
- Two 5mm or 7mm google eyes
- Tacky glue
- Double sided tape
- Fun size candy bars (I used Twix, KitKat, Nestle Crunch or Reese Fun Shaped Peanut Butter Cup)
- Halloween sticker ( 1 inch wide works well)

Instructions:
- Make a bat pattern out of carboard
- Trace the bat onto a piece of black construction paper
- Cut out the bat
- Fold in the two wings
- Affix the google eyes with the tacky glue
- Place a piece of double-sided tape down the middle of the bat body
- Place the candy bar on the tape
- Fold the wings in and secure it closed with the sticker
B-Crafty Tip: B-Crafty glues the eyes as close to the top of the bat head as possible so they will be seen over the candy that the bat hugs. B-Crafty also packages the bats in small cellophane bags and ties with a black and orange ribbon.
