Soda Can Carolers

It’s time again for Christmas in July! B-Crafty brings you the Soda Can Carolers! All you need is empty soda can and a little bit of paint. Each caroler will take on a different look depending on how you crumple the soda can.

Materials:

  • Empty soda can (with flip top removed)
  • Acrylic paints: red, green, white, tan, brown or peach
  • Sharpie Fine Point Black Marker
  • Blush
  • Small amount of Spanish moss (from the craft store)
  • Small piece of 3/8 “ wide ribbon tied in a bow

Instructions:

  • Rinse the can well and let it dry
  • Crumple the can in the desire position
  • Paint the outside of the can with the red, green or white paint. When it dries add polka dots in a one of the other colors
  • Paint the top of the can in the skin tone you prefer
  • Glue a small clump of the Spanish moss on the top of the can for the carolers hair
  • Add the eye lids and lashes with the Sharpie Marker
  • Glue the bow in place off to the side of the carolers mouth (the can opening)

B-Crafty Tip: This is a decoration that lasts and lasts. The more Soda Can Carolers you have the more festive it looks. These also make great hostess gifts at the holidays.

    Betsy I love these What a wonderful idea. I am looking for simple decorations and something different I can put outside my door on a table or rack of some kind to decorate for the holiday. This may be it. I enjoyed our luncheon together so much. I look forward to a repeat. Love,Pat
