Bride and Groom Post People

B-Crafty is beginning to get ready celebrate the October wedding of her son, Brad, and Kelsey. One preparation is the creation of the “Bride and Groom Post People”. B-Crafty plans to display these in the days leading up to the wedding, but wanted to share here first.

Occasion: Wedding

Category: Outdoor Decoration

Materials Needed:

  • 2 – wooden boards that measure 5 ½ inches wide x 60 inches tall x ¾ inch thick
  • White primer paint for wood
  • Acrylic paints in various colors including; shades of flesh, pink,  red, brown, tan, white, black and green

Instructions:

  • With a jigsaw, cut the top two corners off of the bride and groom. Also cut the bottom of each board to form a point at the bottom
  • Paint the boards with white primer paint on both sides
  • Paint the faces, the wedding gown, tux and bouquet
  • Attach with a thumb tack a piece of white tulle to the top of the bride’s head
