Gum Ball Machine Ornament

It would not be Christmas around B-Crafty’s house without a new homemade ornament and this year it’s the “Gum Ball Machine Ornament”. So easy and you do not even need a scissor to make this one!

Issue #158

Occasion: Christmas

Category: Tree Ornament

Materials:

  • Clear plastic fillable ornament
  • Red mini solo cup
  • Flip top from a soda can
  • 15-20 multi-colored beads (large holed beads)
  • Hot glue

Instructions:

  • Fill the ornament with the beads
  • With an Exacto knife place two crisscrossed slits in the bottom of the red solo cup
  • With hot glue affix the flip top on the front side of the solo cup
  • Using the glue again, place a dab on the bottom of the cup right over the slits and afftix the ornament

B-Crafty Tip: This is a craft the kids could help with as they will like filling the ornaments with the beads. Speaking of beads you can use any of you choosing, just make sure they fit in the ornament’s top opening.

Hello Betsy There just was not room for a tree so I have the ornament on the granite shelf. It looks good there and adds a touch of Christmas to this part of the cottage. I hope you have a wonderful Christmas with the family. Bill, Molly and the boys are coming Christmas morning and making brunch. They are both wonderful cooks so it will be delicious. We will open presents here. LovePat
