As B-Crafty wraps up Christmas and heads into the New Year, it is a great time to reminisce about Christmases past with this “Shrink Art Snowman Ornament”. B-Crafty’s son made this when he was in 1st grade in 1993 and it still hangs each year on the tree.

Issue #160
Occasion: Christmas
Category: “Making Memories” Tree Ornament
Materials:
- Shrink art flim
- Sharpie markers in various colors
- Scissors
- Hole punch
- Oven
Instructions:
- Draw or trace the design on the film
- Decorate with the Sharpie markers
- Cut out the design with the scissors
- Punch a hole in the top for the ornament hook
- Place design on a cookie sheet lined with cardboard, or parchment paper. DO NOT bake on bare metal or stoneware
- Heat for approximately 2-3 minutes until flat and shrinking has stopped
- When removed from the oven the film is still pliable and can be flattened or shaped
B-Crafty Tip: Be aware that the film will not shrink perfectly proportionately but that adds to the charm when made by your child.

You have wonderful ideas. Great child’s project.
