Sand Fireworks

B-Crafty shares the beach decoration her family helped create on the 4th of July; “Sand Fireworks”. This is very easy to build and to color.  Red white and blue fun!

Issue #185

Occasion: Beach Time

Category: Sand Sculpting

Materials Needed:

  • Sandy beach
  • Bucket and shovel
  • Various flavored Jell-O, including raspberry and blue berry
  • Flour

Instructions:

The key for this sculpture is to make a surface large enough to build at least 3 fireworks and to make it on such an angle that you can see it when you walk by. The center of each firework is a dome shape sprinkled with flour and added small lines radiating out.

B-Crafty Tip: For an added touch, B-Crafty used some small red white and blue beach balls from her previous “Beach Ball Says It All” craft.

Is there a contest and, if so, what would the categories be?
